How You Can Help
Volunteer: Volunteering for an animal rescue group can be an emotional, yet a very rewarding experience. Whether you will be doing “behind-the-scene” work or actually going out to communities to rescue animals, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of many dogs and cats. We need your help to sustain our organization that is being run entirely by volunteers. We need your time and compassion to continue our work fighting for the lives of many homeless and abused pets— even when the last glimmer of hope has faded. Fuzzy Rescue is always in need of volunteers in the following areas:
Adoption Counselors
Adoption Event Coordinators
Bake Sale Organizers
Groomers
Dog and Cat Handlers
Veterinary Expertise
Legal Counselors
Grant Writers
Educational Outreach Program Coordinators
Pet Transporters
Spay/Neuter Outreach Program Coordinators
To volunteer, you must be 18 years of age or older, and you are required to complete a Volunteer Application and sign our Volunteer Agreement Form. Please contact us for more information.
Foster: Fuzzy Rescue makes every effort to have each and every rescue animal fostered in a home environment. This way, we can more effectively socialize pets, provide them with individual care and attention in a comfortable home setting, and help make the transition easier for the once displaced dog or cat. We also learn more about their behaviors which in turn gives us a better idea as to which home is most suitable for a particular animal. We are working hard to raise funds to secure a cage-free facility that will help us house, socialize, and train animals. In the meantime, however, we are in need of dedicated foster volunteers who can care for one or more of our rescue animals while they await adoption. Fostering an animal can be a rewarding experience for the entire household. You are welcome to choose which animal to foster as we respect any breed, size, etc. restrictions you may have. We cover all medical, food, and shelter expenses for every FR foster animal. While we hope that a foster parent can provide care for a given animal from the time he/she arrives to the time he/she gets adopted, we also recognize unexpected circumstances that may limit one’s time and ability to continue fostering an animal. You are certainly welcome to determine your own timeframe for fostering an FR animal. To become a foster volunteer, please contact us for more information.
