- Who We Are

Founded in 2005, Fuzzy Dog and Cat Rescue, Inc. (FR) is a nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue group. FR is organized by volunteers who are dedicated to saving homeless animals, reducing the rate of pet overpopulation, and educating the general public on animal welfare issues. We rescue animals from high-kill animal shelters and also accept owner-surrendered pets to place into loving, permanent homes. Currently, our animals are fostered in a home environment by compassionate, pet-loving volunteers, as opposed to being boarded in kennels; this way we are able to socialize and work with each rescue animal on an individual basis. Our goal is to raise enough funds to establish a facility where we can house animals in a cage-free environment. We also wish to provide permanent, long-term care for senior and/or special needs dogs and cats in our future rescue facility.

Mission Statement:
Fuzzy Dog and Cat Rescue, Inc. is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of homeless animals. By collaborating with animal shelters and other rescue groups in the community, we strive to achieve our common goal of saving pets’ lives and reducing pet overpopulation. We work towards educating the general public about the advantages of adopting dogs and cats from shelters and rescue groups, and about the importance of spay and neuter. Lastly, we provide outreach to pet owners who need financial assistance for emergency veterinary care.
