Bailey

From “Battery Acid Burned Puppy” to a Cop’s “Baby Girl” – Bailey

During one of Fuzzy Rescue’s adoption events, a family approach
ed us to give up a sad-looking, Chow/Shepherd mix dog.  Her name was Bailey. Bailey’s hind area had a patch of missing fur.  Her “owner” explained to us that “someone” had poured battery acid on her dog a couple months ago. The owner also complained that the dog was “ill-mannered” for digging holes in her yard. Bailey was infested in fleas and her eyes pleaded for help.

Hi Sheila,

I hope you are doing well and I am hoping you still working with Fuzzy Dog and Cat Rescue, Inc.  My family and I adopted Bailey from you last year.  (She was the Shepherd/Chow mix who had been burned by battery acid).  She is doing fantastic and is such a wonderful part of our family.  You should see the way she is with our six month old baby. She is just precious!

Sincerely,

Andrea

Hi Sheila,

Bailey is such a great dog; everyone that meets her loves her. She is just so sweet and loves to play. She cracks us up because she actually play growls when she has toys in her mouth and when you come home from being gone she howls in excitement. She's so silly.

We took her to Petsmart on Saturday to get a bath and shaved down.  She was so excited until they went to take her from me then she didn't want to go!  She was really happy when Jason and I picked her up.  They shaved her down quite a bit but not completely as they said her skin is really chapped and she has scabbing from itching.  They sugg
ested we give her an oatmeal shampoo bath once a week until her skin gets better. I went ahead and bought the shampoo they suggested for her.

Take Care,

Andrea
